This site is more child friendly, shown via the colour scheme, images and games. There is not any writing, as children would be less interested in this, so it just contains images. The purpose of this site is for enjoyment and fun.

Visual layout
  • The visual elements on the home page include a black and white colour scheme, which could be considered simple, a vintage 70s style font for the artist name all in lower case, where some letters flow onto the next line. Furthermore, one of the first things you see is the video for his new single and a text box saying ‘the new album - Staying at Tamara’s - listen now’.
  • The graphic design of this website is very simplistic, meaning it is easy to navigate your way through this website, therefore meaning the content is communicated easily
  • There are no images featured on this home page, just the music video, possibly making it less appealing to certain audience( younger). 
  • In my opinion the layout of the text is straight forward to follow for all ages, therefore the audience can understand the main purpose of this website. 
  • The site is well structured so anyone of any age can easily access it. 
Consistency structure 
  • Some elements that are repeated could be the repetition of the music video across several pages, therefore giving it more promotion, further emphasising the purpose of his website. 
  • Font sizes remain the same throughout, making it contain continuity. The only variation in the text would be the artist logo, as that is unique to him. 
Colour scheme
  • The colour scheme of this website is simplistic, and therefore draws your attention more to the video content, as this is where the only colour is shown. 
Representation of artist
  • In this website the artist is represented as being quite simple and plain, as there is nothing that stands out in this website. 
  • There is no image of them on the home page, but he can be seen in the video, however when you go to the menu bar and then photos you will see pictures of him. 
  • His name is used at the top of every page, meaning you constantly know your on his site. 
  • On this particular website there is no biography, as he could be considered a well known artist, so people already know who he is. 
  • With George Ezra, we can also find out about what he does when he is travelling, as he has a journal section on his menu bar, giving fans detail about what he gets up to. 
Overall
  • The overall impression created by this website is that to be effective it doesn’t need to contain lots of colour, as this website is easy to use and follow. 
  • The most effective section is the music section of the menu bar, as it clearly shows his singles and albums and still promotes them well
  • The least effective section in my opinion would be the live section as it has no colour what so ever, plus it is lacking in pictures (to much information).
  • From this website I could use the unique style of a logo, to emphasise my artists unique identity.

VAL type: Actualisers – as they care about their image, they fit into the age demographic and mainstream category, however they also care about expression of individuality, showing they care about acceptance and are fun loving. Achievers – because they think image is important, they again fir perfectly with the briefs mainstream audience. Plus, as they are career oriented, it suggests that they would fit into the older end of our demographic, as they are driven people who are just starting their career. Experiencers – this VAL type likes music and new products, therefore showing that our brief would be ideally suited for them, as it is new, current and music based. They are also young and impulsive and in to spending money.
