Changes to my music video

The changes I made to my music video include:
  • change the shots where my performer is static - new shot is him getting ready
  • intercut footage of him messaging his mates, done via a close up, this will encourage the faster paced editing
  • in the last half of the video, I will add more footage of them having fun, e.g. looking through photos and videos 
  • Also, when coming to the end of the editing process, I realised I needed to define/differentiate the two characters, and show how at the end they come together as friends. I have done this by putting two separate filters on their solo shots, but clips towards the end show both of them in the same filter signifying their unique friendship.

Shooting Script

Video Audio (lyrics/narration/music/FX 1.   The video will begin with the company logo, then my artist name and song title will appear with a sky background. The song will start playing right from the beginning. An establishing shot will determine the first location. There will be medium and low angle shots, which are of my artist/character getting ready, e.g. Nike product placement. Audience Brief

VAL type: Actualisers – as they care about their image, they fit into the age demographic and mainstream category, however they also care about expression of individuality, showing they care about acceptance and are fun loving. Achievers – because they think image is important, they again fir perfectly with the briefs mainstream audience. Plus, as they are career oriented, it suggests that they would fit into the older end of our demographic, as they are driven people who are just starting their career. Experiencers – this VAL type likes music and new products, therefore showing that our brief would be ideally suited for them, as it is new, current and music based. They are also young and impulsive and in to spending money.
