Changes to my website

The changes to website include: add in more images of my artist that are of different angles add small cartoon hearts to my biography, to attract the target audience in my biography, I need to incorporate something about the unusual relationship between old and young in my AV content, I need to add an end slide that asks the audience to get involved

Changes to my music video

The changes I made to my music video include: change the shots where my performer is static - new shot is him getting ready intercut footage of him messaging his mates, done via a close up, this will encourage the faster paced editing in the last half of the video, I will add more footage of them having fun, e.g. looking through photos and videos  Also, when coming to the end of the editing process, I realised I needed to define/differentiate the two characters, and show how at the end they come together as friends. I have done this by putting two separate filters on their solo shots, but clips towards the end show both of them in the same filter signifying their unique friendship.

Feedback on 1st draft of website

Image
Website 1st draft Feedback in the new music banner, I need to use the space on the right hand side for fun cartoon imagery e.g. hearts. I will also add this to the side of the biography. I also need to vary my photos as they are practically all the same distance and similar angles. I will take some more in 'music' poses. at the end of the AV content I will add a screen with text which asks the audience to tweet their essentials there is nothing in my website that links to the unusual narrative of the video, so I will add to the biography something about the unusual representation into the mainstream in my statement of intent I talked about the guitar image in my company logo, something which needs to be added to my website.

Feedback on 1st draft of video

Link to first draft: https://youtu.be/-EejgalVY8k This is my feedback looking back at my first draft At 0:10 the clip is too static, so I will reshoot the clip and include him getting ready. Plus, I will make it clear he would rather choose to spend time with her.  Performance shots need Ken Burns effect to give it movement. (Unable to do as editing software I am using doesn’t have it) At 0:46 the walking section will include him texting his mates who send him immature messages, to further emphasise the narrative. During the long performance shots, such as 0:51, it will be intercut with him writing about his new best friend. This footage will be sped up.  During the last half of the video as not a lot happens, I will intercut new footage of him ‘choosing her’, by cutting between pictures of them and cancelling messages and calls from his usual mates.

Website Flat Plan

Image
Website Homepage Website Second Page I have decided to use the 'Anton' font, as I believe it will stand out on my website and appeal to a mass audience. I have chosen the colour scheme of white, grey, orange and yellow as they reflect positivity and will be eye catching for my target audience. Plus, the majority of the writing/text will be in black. I have chosen this layout because for the user it will be easy to use, and having some blank space is conventional of the websites I analysed.

Casting and Release Form

Image
Charlie Biggins - Charlie Reasons for Casting - I chose to cast this person as he is within the age demographic of the brief and personally I think he fits in well with the theme of my song, as he is young, suggesting freedom, and works well with the anti stereotype of the friendship between old and young. Gail Biggins - Second Character Reasoning for Casting - I chose to cast this person as she suits the anti stereotype of older people being friends with younger people, and will make the video more attractive to a mass audience.

Props and Costumes

The props I will use in the video include: picnic items (blanket, food, drinks, bag/basket) Monopoly glass cup photos of characters The costumes that my cast will be wearing are: Main Male Character/Artist - During the narrative he will be wearing plain shorts and a more colourful t-shirt that reflects the positivity of the video. He will also be wearing Nike trainers, to show product placement. On the other hand, during the performance scenes, he will be wearing a different outfit, which includes a different coloured and styled t-shirt, to help the audience distinguish what is performance and what is narrative. Other Female Character - She will also be wearing summery clothing, which includes a coloured t-shirt, jeans and trainers. This will be kept the same throughout the whole of the music video, to keep the continuity.

Locations

Image
Location 1 - House The reason I chose this location was because it is a more intimate location, which will resemble the close relationship the two friends have. Location 2 - Field I chose this location as it fits in with the message of freedom in the video, and also draws the attention to what the two friends are doing, because they are going to be in the centre of the shot.
