Shooting Script

Video
Audio (lyrics/narration/music/FX
1.  The video will begin with the company logo, then my artist name and song title will appear with a sky background. The song will start playing right from the beginning. An establishing shot will determine the first location. There will be medium and low angle shots, which are of my artist/character getting ready, e.g. Nike product placement. To start with behind them will be the interior of a house, but will eventually move to the outdoors, possibly the same shots with different backgrounds.
“Me and Sam in the car, talking 'bout America
Heading to the wishing well, we've reached our last resort
I turned to him said, "Man help me out
I fear I'm on an island in an ocean full of change
Can't bring myself to dive in to an ocean full of change”

2.  As the pre-chorus begins I will have medium close ups of my artist performing, still with a mix of narrative as well. The narrative will be shown through a wide shot, therefore including everything with the scene. There will be a few seconds where there will be close ups and zooms in on specific things with in the larger shot.
“Am I losing touch
Am I losing touch now?"
He said, "Why why, what a terrible time to be alive
If you're prone to overthinking and
Why why, what a terrible time to be alive
If you're prone to second guessing" and”

3.  As the pace and beat of the song picks up, I will cut the shots to the same beat. A high angle shot will emphasize the outdoor activities the friends are taking part in. The shots will then alternate between a POV of both characters, showing the connectivity between them. This will be done through a hand held camera.
“Hey pretty smiling people
We're alright together, we're alright together
Hey pretty shining people
We're alright together, we're alright together, hey”

4.  The characters will then move indoors to my second location, which will be done via a tracking shot, which follows the back of the characters. This scene will feature extreme close ups to focus the audience’s attention on their tight friendship.
“Took it in turns to dream about the lottery
And what we might have done if we had entered and had won
We're each convinced that nothing would have changed
But if this were the case, why is it a conversation anyway?”

5.  In this section, there will be medium shots of the artist performing, which includes him lip syncing, plus I will cut between to continue the narrative strand via more POV shots and over the shoulder shots.
“Are we losing touch?
Are we losing touch now?
He said, "Why why, what a terrible time to be alive
If you're prone to over thinking and
Why why, what a terrible time to be alive
If you're prone to second guessing" and”

6.  For this chorus, I will do a quick zoom, into an extreme close of one or both of the characters smiling. Within this scene, it is going to be the happiest point in the video, shown by close ups of their facial expressions, which will be laughter and smiling. Plus, towards the end of this chorus there will be a shift in time to the evening/night, shown by a low angle pointing towards the sky.
“Hey pretty smiling people
We're alright together, we're alright together
Hey pretty shining people
We're alright together, we're alright together”

7.  At this point in the video, the bridge, I am going to combine previous shots from both indoor and outdoor locations, not repeating the exact same shot. Slow motion zoom in to artist performing. This will be also mixed in with them looking back at memories of their friendship, done via viewing old photos. This will be shown by the character looking down at the photo and then cutting to a low angle looking up at the character, almost as if we are momentarily the photo.
“Don't we all need love?
The answer is easy
Don't we all need love?
The answer is easy
Don't we all need love?
The answer is easy”

8.  Again I will include medium performance shots from a studio and previous locations, and end the video with a fade to black, to match the song fading out.
